Canadian power adapter CUL certification and UL certification relationship

As is known to all, power adapters in the United States need to pass the UL certification, because the UL Safety testing Institute is the most authoritative in the United States, and is also the largest private organization engaged in safety testing and certification. The CUL mark is the UL mark used to distribute products in the Canadian market. Products with this mark have been certified to comply with the Canadian safety standards. These standards are basically the same as those quoted by UL in the United States. For example, there are two sets of standards for hand-held power tools: the UL45 for the United States only, and the UL745-1 for the United States and Canada. Both standards are similar and are derived from IEC60745, the Safety standard for Hand-held Motor Drive Tools. CUL logo is widely used in household appliances, computer equipment, ventilation equipment, household anti-theft system and other types of products.

UL is English (abbreviated UnderwriterLaboratoriesInc.) by underwriters laboratories. It is an independent, non-profit, professional organization that conducts experiments for public safety. It adopts scientific testing methods to study and determine whether all kinds of materials, devices, products, equipment, buildings, etc. are harmful to life and property and the degree of harm, determine, compile and issue the corresponding standards and help to reduce and prevent the loss of life and property, at the same time to carry out actual investigation business.
